Austin Butler Faces Tom Hanks with Family at “Masters of the Air” Premiere
The entire team was in Los Angeles on Wednesday, January 10. Actors and producers gathered at Regency Village Cinema to preview their mini-series “Masters of the Air”, coming to Apple TV+ from January 26.
The show, based on the evolution of the American Air Force during World War II, saw lead actors Austin Butler, Callum Turner and Barry Keoghan on the red carpet. For the occasion, everyone chose a different outfit – Elvis Presley the singer in a camel, Barry Keoghan in a sleeveless jacket.
Tom Hanks, surrounded by his sons
His other two mini-series, “Brothers in Arms” and “The Pacific,” are considered sequels to “Masters of the Air”, bringing together Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg in production more than twenty years after the release of the first series.
It was on the arm of Rita Wilson that Tom Hanks arrived at the show’s premiere. Chic in a suit (without a tie), the actor posed with his wife, who wore a sequin skirt and leather jacket. Married since 1988, the parents of Chester (33 years old) and Truman (28 years old) were on the red carpet with their two sons.
Both 67 years old, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are wiser than ever, accustomed to a quiet life away from the spotlight. In May 2023, he was out in Boston where the actor was awarded an honorary doctorate of arts from Harvard University. At 66, she donned a gown and cap to deliver a teasing speech to the Class of 2023.
