AS Saint-Etienne recorded its third recruitment this Sunday. After the return of Yvan Macon from loan and the loan of Irwin Cardona, it is Nathanael Mbuku’s turn to follow the same path as his teammate.
AS Saint-Etienne formalized the loan of former Remois Nathanael Mbuku on Sunday. The 21-year-old winger joins Forez on a six-month dry loan with no option to buy.
The player and his new coach reacted when it was made official.
Nathanael Mbuku: “I am delighted to join ASSE. I’ve already played for Geoffroy-Guichard, but now I’m looking forward to playing for Geoffroy-Guichard. I arrive with my speed, percussion, dribbling qualities, but also with a good state of mind.“
Olivier Dell’Oglio, ASSE coach: “I am very happy with the arrival of Nathanael. He is a boy who is very motivated to join us. He has qualities! He’s a profile that will do us well in the corridor, especially since he has the versatility to play both sides.“

On the other side of the Franco-German border, we also welcomed the loan of Nathanael Mbuku. The Augsburg club nixed the idea of seeing the young Frenchman leave permanently from the start.
“We are convinced of Nathanael’s abilities and potential. However, due to the competitive situation within the team, we believe a loan makes sense at this stage. Nathanael should get as much playing time as possible at Saint-Etienne and continue to develop through the ranks. This summer to return strong to Augsburg” says FCA Sporting Director Marinko Jurendic.
