Young Sean Lane, a New York resident, said this year that a company called him after applying for a job offer. When it came time to speak with a representative of his potential employers, he was surprised.
What did the recruiter say to the candidate?
“My interviewer hated his own job,” Sean revealed. At that time, he asked her what tasks she would have to fulfill in the position. Next, the woman – her potential partner – responded without a filter.
“The recruiter warned me that many candidates decided not to continue the selection process after learning about the reality of working in this job,” explained the American citizen. Also, she described the atmosphere of the company.
During the 20-minute interview, the woman told Sean all the things she didn’t like about the company. “It is expected that you will have calls from your boss all the time. If you don’t answer in a few minutes, he will be very angry with you,” the recruiter informed the young man.
Further, she sincerely said: “I am a mother of two children, I have to take care of them constantly and also take care of other household chores. So, I find this situation of the boss’s call particularly complicated.
On the other hand, the interviewer recommended that he not accept the proposal if he wanted to relax. “This job is not a good example of work-life balance. If you want to sleep, turn down the job offer,” she said.
On the other hand, the recruiter warned her that employees are usually assigned too many projects, which is not pleasant. “Besides, no one helps you do these things,” the woman said in this regard.
A young man’s final decision
After the interview ended, the young candidate chose to decline the potential job offer. “Finally, the recruiter told me: ‘I’ll contact you again in a few days because some people change their minds and accept the offer,'” he recalled.
