Getting rich with less effort is a promise held out by some advertisements for cryptocurrency, digital money. But some investments turn out to be scams. A man who wished to remain anonymous invested more than 10,000 euros in a company, hoping to make three times that amount. Six months later the site and its money disappeared. With 150 victims, he decided to file a complaint.
Lack of knowledge about cryptocurrency
In France and around the world, this type of scam is on the rise, especially thanks to social networks. Scammers offer paid online training courses to master and operate the Ponzi pyramid, an illegal scam.
