Noboa confirms what are the eleven popular consultation questions in Ecuador sent to the Constitutional Court.

President of Ecuador, Daniel Noboa, This Wednesday confirmed the popular consultation with which it wants to provide security, justice and employment to the country eleven questions, which have been sent for analysis by the Constitutional Court.

In a recorded message, Noboa indicated that “today is a very important day” as they completed their offer to call. Referendum “And build a new Ecuador, a country where violence and liberation are fought and jobs are created.”

He explained that the consultation had “three clear objectives” and the first mention was the intervention of the armed forces in the fight against crime.

“We are fed up with the fact that there is more protection for criminals than law enforcement, we must protect all those who fight this mafia, therefore, this consultation calls for the support of the justice system so that those guilty of organized crime receive long sentences. higher and they follow them,” he said, referring to another objective.

While referring to the third, he remarked that consultation also has an objective “Promote employment through new recruitment and new economic activities.”

Noboa assured that “it is possible to combat crime, have a justice system that responds with tough and severe penalties and, above all, create new jobs for Ecuador.”

The questions referred by the Executive to the Constitutional Court for analysis are:

1. Do you agree that the armed forces initiate measures to prevent and eradicate the activity of international criminal organizations operating within and outside national territory, in accordance with the appendix to question 1?

2. Do you agree that the armed forces should permanently control arms, ammunition, explosives and accessories on the authorized routes, roads, roads and corridors for entry into social rehabilitation centres?

3. Do you agree that members of the armed forces, national police and penitentiary security and surveillance corps should not be deprived of their liberty, or ordered to be detained while their actions are investigated or criminal proceedings are pending? Force of, amendment to Comprehensive Organic Criminal Code as per Annexure to Question 3?

4. Do you agree with increasing penalties for the following crimes: terrorism and its financing, illegal production and trafficking of controlled substances, organized crime, murder, contract killing, human trafficking, kidnapping for ransom, arms trafficking, money laundering and illegal mining of resources Amending the Comprehensive Organic Criminal Code as per Annexure to Activity, Question 4?

5. Do you agree that persons deprived of liberty should serve their full sentence in a social rehabilitation centre, for the offenses detailed in question 5, by amending the Comprehensive Organic Penal Code, as mentioned in the above Appendix?

6. Do you agree to amend the code criminalizing the possession or carrying of arms, ammunition or components intended for the exclusive use of the Armed Forces or the National Police, without affecting firearms permitted for civilian use? CONNECTION OF COMPREHENSIVE CRIMINAL ORGANIC QUESTION 6?

7. 9. Do you agree that the state proceeds to become the holder (owner) of assets of illegal or unjustified origin, by facilitating the organic law process of confiscation of assets, as per the appendix to question 9?

10.Do you agree that the procedures for non-admission, deportation and deportation of foreigners will be revised to control migration and strengthen state security, as per the appendix to question 10?
