What is this remaster of The Last of Us?
After the remake of The Last of Us In 2022, it is now the second part of the diptych that is entitled to a new version. There is no remake for this episode, but a simple remaster, improved and updated version for PS5. The Last of Us Part IIReleased three years ago, it’s definitely a game to replay for fun, and for those who follow the HBO series, it’s a great way to continue Joel and Ellie’s story while waiting for Season 2.
The Last of Us Part II Continues on the same themes already at the heart of the first opus. Naughty Dog, however, offers darker and more radical work, risking losing part of its audience along the way. Yet the writing remains incredibly accurate, and the post-apocalyptic world in which the characters develop is surprisingly realistic. The No Return mode, which appears in this remaster, highlights an element that will ultimately be less discussed when the game is released in 2022, its incredible gameplay.
Is this remaster of The Last of Us Part II worth the hype?
Less than €40 is a decent price if you haven’t played the Cult of Naughty Dog game. For owners of the PS4 version in digital form or physical version, know that the upgrade allows you to enjoy the game on PS5 for only €10.
Among the new features of this remaster, in addition to graphic improvements, you can count on the performance mode, as well as some additions that enrich the gaming experience. Survival fans will be able to try out the highly-specified sans return mode, and random clashes with chain new playable characters. Those interested in creating video games will enjoy exploring three never-before-seen levels with audio commentary. Finally, the guitar mode, fun but anecdotal, will allow you to take a welcome musical break.
