Two women attacked the President during an official function

According to television images, the head of state was meeting the regional governor of Ayacucho, Wilfredo Oscorima, when two women went straight on stage, one of them grabbing the president’s hair. “They killed my husband, will I remain silent? », began one of the attackers arrested by the authorities. She accused Dina Bouluart of being responsible for the death of her husband, who was killed during a demonstration in Ayacucho on December 15, 2022.
Ministerial Chief of Staff, Alberto Otarola, condemned the “extremely serious” attack on the social network X that “threatened the integrity of the head of state”.
According to the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, the president was returning to Ayacucho for the first time since around 50 people were killed in protests against him across the country, around 20 of whom are believed to have been killed by state forces. (IACHR) ).
