The ultimate game combining Cyberpunk 2077 and Call of Duty awaits you
Hello gamers! There’s no denying that Call of Duty has been one of the most popular and engaging first-person shooter games ever since its launch in 2003. Additionally, despite a rocky launch in 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most rewarding and immersive sci-fi out there right now. – Fi RPG of recent years.
So, it makes sense to be able to enjoy a game that probably mixes the best of Call of Duty and Cyberpunk 2077, right? Well, it looks like we’ll be getting just that with the upcoming battle royale shooter, Off the Grid.
Developed by German studio Gunzilla Games together with film director and screenwriter Neill Blomkamp (District 9, Elysium and Chappie), Off the Grid is a free-to-play battle royale shooter (with PvE missions) that promises intense action. With vibes from MAG, the 256-player PS3 shooter that was ahead of its time, Off the Grid features a total of 150 players on the battlefield.
Off the Grid has a dystopian cyberpunk vibe and also reminds me of Call of Duty: Black Ops. “PvP and PvE collide to create the most extreme battle royale ever! “Three video game companies set aside their differences to develop the ultimate adrenaline rush for professional gamers on a dystopian tropical island plagued by a history of corporate warfare,” reads the description for Off the Grid.
“Experience a 60-hour narrative campaign on Teardrop Island by surviving a 150-player battle royale – no problem for an elite gamer like you, right? Build your ultimate character by scavenging high-value loot from the island and give them unique abilities by modifying your body with cybernetic limbs mid-battle. Armed with deadly cybernetic limbs and hundreds of possible weapon combinations, you’re ready to rise to the top. »
Off the Grid looks promising, but we’ve seen promising free-to-play battle royales in the past that were dead on arrival. Whether Off the Grid will suffer the same fate remains to be seen.
Off the Grid doesn’t currently have a release date, but we do know that it will be released on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. However, beta testing has already taken place, so hopefully it will be released this year.
