Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.- President Luis Abinadere this Wednesday Dr. Appointed Victor Elias Atallah Lajam as the new Minister of Public Health and Igor David Rodríguez Durán as the Administrative Minister of the Presidency, on an interim basis.
Atallah’s disposition follows the departure of Daniel Rivera Reyes to devote himself to the senatorial campaign of Santiago de los Caballeros for the Modern Revolutionary Party.
Until this Wednesday, he was the Medical Advisor to the Executive Branch, a position he held since August 20, 2020. He is President Ebineder’s primary physician.
He is also a member of the Executive Directorate of PRM and was one of the founding leaders of the organization in 2014.
New Interim Administrative Minister
This Wednesday, Abinader also appointed Igor David Rodríguez Duran, Minister of Administration of the Presidency, on an interim basis until the leave taken by Minister José Ignacio Paliza is completed.
He was appointed general coordinator of Louis Ebineder’s presidential campaign, for which he requested a leave of absence.
Igor Rodríguez served as the Presidency’s Deputy Minister of Administration and Finance.
