Shortly before 10pm this Saturday, an investigation was carried out in Playdrun, by a motorized gendarmerie platoon. Mikael Kosson attended to the wishes of Stefan Brind, mayor of Playdrun. “His blood alcohol screening should have revealed a level of incriminating nature, which was 0.40 mg per liter of breath, applying a margin of error,” the prosecutor suggested.
License suspended for two months
Nicholas Heitz further states that the prosecution was notified on Sunday 14 January and requested a hearing, which was held on Monday 15 January. “The concerned person’s license was suspended by the administrative authority for a period of two months.”
“The police did their job. I made a mistake and it’s normal that I’m treated the same as everyone else,” Mikael Kosson explained this Wednesday. “It’s not my habit to drive when I’ve been drinking.” The MP does not hide the fact that he did not pay attention to his consumption that evening. “I didn’t eat all day. During the vows, we chat with people, we accept drinks. I have drunk half a cup too much.”
Criminal misdemeanor order
Mikkel Kosson has no criminal record, prosecutors report. who decided to direct the proceedings into a misdemeanor criminal order. “As part of this process, the public prosecutor’s office will require a paid road safety awareness course, suspension of his driver’s license and, possibly, a fine,” the public prosecutor concluded.
