Check out the incredible plans for the Black Armory launch!
Bungie Notice: Destiny 2’s next major paid edition, Black Armory, is scheduled for December 4, but technical issues may arise weeks before. The developers are working on a temporary changelog to notify players, and encourage them to report any unexpected bugs on the help forum.
Black Armory is part of the new Season of the Forge, which begins on November 27. This will be followed by a season of Drifter, then another untitled season. Season of the Forge will add the new event The Dawning, new crucible materials, and new weapons. Annual Pass owners with access to Black Armory will have access to new weapons and activities.
The Gambit PvP/PvE mode will also see changes, with rewards for infamy ranks doubling, challenges being adjusted, and new rewards for bounties.
Bungie is also announcing Infamy Double and Triple events next week to help players accumulate Infamy Points.
Finally, Bungie is planning to make changes to Destiny 2’s future, with a full year planned after Forsaken. Black Armory will be the first installment of content for Annual Pass holders, with more free content to come for all players.
It has also been noted that previous Forsaken expansions did not meet their sales targets. This means that Bungie will have to make changes to meet the game’s publisher Activision’s revenue expectations.
