Windows 11 Finally Hits Steam, Definitely an Adopted OS?
Windows 11 Steam is gaining popularity among gamers. Starting in 2024, more and more gamers are abandoning Windows 10 to switch to Microsoft’s latest operating system.
When you’re a PC gamer, going through Steam to access your games seems almost inevitable, even if other platforms like the Epic Games Store try to cover it up. The Valve platform brings together millions of players every day, especially at the moment thanks to the certain Palworld, which can also be played on the Steam deck.
Unfortunately for Microsoft, many of them haven’t yet upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11, as Steam’s stats in recent months show. By early 2024 this trend is slowly starting to change.
Windows 11 Steam gains popularity among gamers
Microsoft is using various means to migrate Windows 10 users to Windows 11. It’s not clear if Steam gamers are increasingly using the latest OS for this reason, but in any case, It is becoming more and more popular.

Steam indicates that 51.43% of its community was playing Windows 10 in January 2024, Or 2.02% less than last December. At the same time, there are 2.29% more Windows 11 users for a total of 44.24%. Take note of it 96.52% of Steam players use the Microsoft operating system.

Perhaps this will finally convince a handful of Windows 7 and 8 users who haven’t benefited from Steam updates since the beginning of the year. Remember that both Windows 10 and 11 have Game Mode with settings designed to give you the best possible experience.
Steam’s hardware and software survey reveals other interesting data, viz The overwhelming popularity of Nvidia graphics cards or Intel processors, more used than AMD. Additionally, nearly half of virtual reality gamers use the Oculus Quest 2 headset.
