“Why is it so complicated?”, LoL players can no longer tolerate inconsistent descriptions of certain items
After the rest of this announcement
Season 14 of League of Legends, like all others, brought many changes to Summoner’s Rift. Players were able to find new monsters, modify the map, but also witness the removal of legendary items. Old items have also been modified, some have disappeared and new ones have been added.
Items are often things that change at the beginning of each season and it seems that Riot Games has left out some essential updates, missing information that has angered some players.
Incomprehensible things?
The outrage, as is often the case, came from Reddit. Some players noted that item descriptions were incomplete, missing crucial information about how items worked, and that it was sometimes impossible to understand exactly what they did in-game.
When looking at the descriptions of the items directly on the consumer, it is clear that some are unclear, and that information is missing. As the player very well points out in his post, this lack of precision can only be detrimental to new objects. Veterans, for their part, are used to most things, even if some of the more recent, newer ones have incomplete descriptions.
Problem for all players?
Overall, the comments under our player’s post are consistent with that. “Yeah, the other day I was checking to see if ranged champions still have an execution penalty on a support item, and I was really confused by the fact that it wasn’t listed at all. And the answer is yes, ranged execution. 30 % while melee execution is 50%.” Underlines another member of the community.
Another also pointed out that even older players were not aware of the distance of the gameDistances that are important for specific characteristics of certain objects. “My perennial dilemma: if Far Focus enhances spells with a range of over 700, how does the player in the game know which abilities count? The range is mentioned, but never listed.” Adds a player.
It is clear that some descriptions lack clarity, is a real handicap when it comes to choosing the most efficient objects for our build, but also depends on game progression, opponent composition, etc. Now it remains to be seen if Riot Games will take this comment into consideration and act accordingly.
