What to do in the season 3 finale? (Beginner’s Guide)
Once the main campaign of Diablo 4 Finished, a whole new adventure begins. Season 3, Title Construction season, offers players quests to overcome and explore challenges, expanding the gaming experience beyond the final confrontation with Lilith. Of course, this guide only concerns players who started Diablo 4 during this season. Here is an overview Diablo 4 Endgame Activities.
Diablo 4 offers a lot more than its main campaign, but players won’t find out after defeating Lilith. Blizzard has hidden several challenges that keep Sanctuary alive in Endgame. These activities will bring your character towards the endgame and level 100, even if level 100 is not a goal in itself.
In addition to Vaults, these Season 3 specific dungeons, Season of Assemblies, require players to defeat Malphas, a demon that has taken control of an ancient technology. However, the bug is tough (especially in its Uber version), and you’ll need to be prepared before facing it. To do this, you have to level up, perfect your build and your equipment.
Management Difficulty (World Levels)
The difficulty of the game can be changed after completing the main quest of Diablo 4. And the first thing to do is: go to Kyovshad, touch the statue and go to level 3: Nightmare. This level will give you more XP, more difficulty and better legendary items. To be able to change this level, you will need to be level 50 and beat the Limit Stone dungeon located in the cathedral above the statue.
Once you reach level 70, you have to go to World Level IV: Torment. Stronger around level 70, it will allow you to test your build and most of all expand it with ancestral items that will surprise you with their quality!
Nightmare dungeons
This isn’t specific to Season 3, but Nightmare Dungeon is one of the most profitable activities: in xp and loot. How to access it? Simply by clicking on symbols from your inventory. You open the map, you TP the dungeon, and you clear everything. Nice big packs of Elites are waiting for you and you’ll one-shot at the beginning, you have to hang on.
The symbols also have a level: from 1 to 100, which indicates the level of difficulty. Each nightmare dungeon will drop you higher level symbols, making your progress through these levels easier.
At the end of the Nightmare Dungeon, a bubble protects you and allows you to improve your glyphs! These glyphs are the types of stones you insert into each panel of your paragon table. By leveling up these glyphs, you expand their area of influence on the Paragon table.
Paragon Paintings
Once level 50 is reached, your character can no longer progress in his skills, and a new table will open for him: the Paragon Table. This table is made up of panels (not replaceable at first) that you can assemble and rotate your way. Each panel has boxes to unlock with your level progress. You will have 4 Paragon points for each level taken. This custom tree will really give your build its identity
Paragon boxes or nodes are of several types:
- Common nodes that give you stat bonuses
- Rare nodes that have increased bonuses
- Magic nodes that have special abilities
- Node for glyph
- A legendary tumor.
- Junction knot between paragon panels
Each Paragon is different based on your class, and offers possibilities for different builds based on the skills you play and your unique items.
Devil’s Tide
Satanic Tide is an almost permanent occurrence in Season 3. It is a large area of open world, which varies and is symbolized in red/ochre on your map. In this moral tide (or hellish tide) you’ll slay monsters to collect deranged ash (brothers), which you use to open a haunting chest spread across the tidal realm. Meteors will come and hit you if you are not careful.
These chests give you targeted loot (amulets, boots…this is indicated by clicking on the chest), as well as symbols, glyphs…there are also special chests, which only appear on the map if you’re in one. Close, and that will allow you to loot the Living Steel for 275 Unseen Ashes. This item is required to access Gregoire, one of the game’s uber-bosses.
After the Season 3 update, Hell Tides are now available 24/7, with only a 5 minute break between them. Players will unlock these events on Nightmare difficulty and face commanders of the Infernal Tides to gain valuable loot. Be careful, any unspent Unspent Ashes are lost at the end of the moral tide!
The Infernal Tide Zone is at the heart of Diablo 4’s uber-boss mechanics, requiring specific types of items to tackle. A living steel for Grigoir, who leaves pieces of Agony to confront Duriel himself…
The Whispering Tree
The Whispering Tree acts as a quest board in the open world. Located in the northeast corner of Havazar it will be a good source of XP and loot. When players complete the main story, they will receive a priority quest that will lead them to a tree, asking them to collect Sinister Favors that are obtained after completing various missions. Each mission rewards you with favors:
- Complete Dungeon: +5 Sinister Favors
- Harvest an area: +3 Sinister Favors
- Clear the Cellar: +1 Sinister Favor
- Event Completion: +1 Sinister Favor
- Kill an Elite: +1 Sinister Favor
- Kill an enemy of one type: +1 Sinister Favor
- Complete Ritual: +3 Sinister Favors
- Defeat World Boss: +5 Sinister Favor.
The main objective is to earn 10 Sinister Favors which can be exchanged for reward packs. The cool thing with Season 3 is that you can collect Sinister Favors and Farm Assembly Zones, and that gives you massive amounts of XP and loot.
Power Codex
The Power Codex in Diablo 4 is a collection of legendary aspects that you can imprint on your items at The Occultists. This upgrade can be used on rare or legendary items. Each aspect can be obtained in two ways:
- Completing a dungeon gives you an infinite amount of this aspect in your codex
- By removing it from the legendary item, that breaks the item in question and gives you the aspect to print only once.
Even if the Power Codex is unlocked early in the main story, it will be a hell of a job to get all aspects for each class. However, certain aspects are central to your build and you don’t cut them.
World Boss
Each season of Diablo 4 adds new world bosses to test players’ builds. World Bosses are giant monsters that appear on the Sanctuary map. Players can encounter them randomly, but only after completing the campaign will they receive instructions from the World Boss. Keep in mind that this is the only way to notify the game when these giant monsters will appear, but fans have managed to create World Boss Trackers online.
The three main world bosses in Diablo 4 are Hope, Greed, and Wandering Death. All you have to do is go to the location to participate in the fight. There are usually high level people so I would advise you to stay away and let the adults do their job, you just have to bend down to pick up the loot after 30 seconds of combat. And the world boss loot is delicious with the potential for unique or level 925 items.
Uber boss
One of the main endgame activities in Diablo 4 is farming bosses, for their ability to drop uber unique items. These extremely valuable items make a profound difference to the build and are essential for dealing with extreme end-game adversity: level 90+ dungeons, Uber Lilith, and other feasts. There are 7 of them:
- Gregoire
- echo of rain
- The Beast in the Ice
- Lord Zeer
- Uber Durial
- Uber Malfas
- Echoes of Lilith
Lilith’s Echo is the endgame’s final boss. Lilith’s Echo from Diablo 4 is a level 100 boss, and is designed to be the final enemy in Diablo 4. This two-tier monster can be found in Echoes of Hate and will only become available when you play World Tier 4. It’s hell. Solo, except for certain classes and builds like HOTA Barbarian.
basements
New events in Diablo 4 Season 3 introduced Vaults and Nightmare Vaults, a new type of dungeon that players must explore to complete their seasonal journey and face the demon Malphas. This dungeon offers loot and XP, but also Harmony Stones for modifying your 6-legged friend, the Seneschal Companion. A kind of sidekick that buffs you or attacks enemies, and you can customize it by inserting different stones into its slot.
Arcane Trembling
Players will encounter arcane thrills in an open world, local events where you’ll battle constructs and activate obelisks to collect Protection Stones, among other things. These stones will be given at the beginning of the vault to protect you from traps and open more chests at the end. So you’ll go from Obelisk to Assemblies, have Stones of Elements, place them in Braziers to summon Heralds of Malphas.
And there you have it, everything you can do after completing the Diablo 4 main campaign.
