They issue a “Winter Weather” warning for New York, beginning at 8:00 p.m.
United States National Weather Service (NWS) A winter weather warning has been issued for New York City. This notice will come into effect this Monday at 8:00 p.m.
Likewise, the measures extend until 1:00 pm on Tuesday.
Early Monday, our meteorologist Stephanie Wies of Weather Guardians predicted: “Snow starts to fall after 3:00 a.m., We could see the impact all over the New Jersey area, the coastal area of Manhattan, Queens at 4:30 p.m. “It continues until 9:30 when we can get a ceasefire.”
“The heaviest snow will come in the afternoon at 1:45 p.m., affecting the entire area,” he added.
According to the NWS, this is the expected snow accumulation in New York
- Manhattan will receive up to 3 inches of snow
- For Queens, in the JFK airport area, there will be about 2.4 inches
- In Newark, New Jersey, the estimate is 3.1 inches
- While accumulation for Long Island varied between 2.4 and 1 inch
More snow is also possible on Thursday and Friday.
