The actor from the Netflix series “Fauda” was seriously injured during the fighting in Gaza
Idan Amedi, one of Israel’s best-known actors and presenters, was seriously injured during the fighting in Gaza, according to his family and the hospital where he is being treated.
Amedi, of Kurdish origin, is a well-known singer and one of the stars of the hit Netflix series “Fauda,” in which he plays a member of the Israeli army’s special forces unit.
Amedi is in critical condition in the ICU of the Sheba Tel Hashomer Medical Center in central Israel, a center spokesman said.

Shortly before being wounded, Amedi spoke to an Israeli television channel about the war in Gaza.
“What they (Hamas) have done here is crazy,” he told Channel 12. “The operation here is on the very central route (Hamas tunnels). Here we find kilometers of tunnels, weapons, even special weapons. “We have been busy trying to destroy them for the last two days.”
