However, some fans believe that GTA VI needs to bring back some of the best features of Red Dead Redemption 2 if it wants to declare itself as the best game, including melee. Reddit user and Grand Theft Auto fan Bluddef said he hoped to see the return of the combat mechanic, saying “it felt very natural and realistic.” They also said that Rockstar should include different fighting styles for Lucia and Jason to learn, as well as bring back gyms and training areas similar to GTA: San Andreas.
Red Dead Redemption 2’s combat was a huge step up from GTA V, which was content to have the player character throw wild punches and generally end combat quickly. In Red Dead Redemption 2, you can throw crazy combos and use environmental elements to deal extra damage, like throwing people out of windows.
Other GTA fans couldn’t help but agree, with one even suggesting the idea of an “underground fight club,” which sounds like cool side content.
