“El Diabolico” and “El Samurai”, alleged gang members caught transporting rifles to Mexico

The National Civil Police (PNC) reported the capture of two alleged gang members who were transporting two rifles inside a vehicle traveling along km 18 of the Inter-American Highway, Mexico City.

According to information, agents from PNC’s 16th Police Station managed to arrest the two men during an operation on the night of January 4 on the Inter-American Highway, where they stopped the vehicle in which the two men were being transported.

It was believed that the Mitsubishi Lancer P-037KFM was transporting arms and ammunition and after searching they found the rifles.

The detainees are “Gerardo Andres N”, 28, alias “El Diabolico” and Addison Alexander N, 23, nicknamed “Samurai”.

Information published by the Ministry of Home Affairs on its social network mentions that both people are alleged members of Mara Salvatrucha.

The PNC indicated that after searching the vehicle, 2 M4 rifles were found; 4 hoppers, 96 usable rounds of ammunition and 2 mobile devices, which will be subjected to analysis to strengthen the investigation.

Authorities believe the weapons will be used to carry out an armed attack.
