Ekitike’s painful debut with Frankfurt
Zapping Onze Mondial EXCLUSIVE: Moussa Diaby’s “Little Brother” Interview!
Just two days after officially signing with Eintracht Frankfurt, who managed to complete his loan with PSG at the end of the transfer window, Hugo Ektic returned to action, not playing in an official match against PSG-Lorient on 12 August. Left the Paris team well for several months.
Frankfurt lose and finish ninth, Ekitike plays 15 minutes
Unfortunately for the Reims striker, his debut did not go as hoped. First, his team lost 0-2 on the pitch of Cologne. The German club had not lost in an official competition since December 17 and since then have not lost in the Bundesliga with three wins and a draw at Leverkusen. A setback for Eintracht in a match marked by two red cards, the Frankfurt club finished ninth after the dismissals of Nkonku and Tuta. Hugo Ektic, who came on with a quarter of an hour to go, didn’t have much of a chance to change the end of the match after creating no chances for his first minutes in Germany.
In sum
Hugo Ektic’s first match with Frankfurt was marked by a 0–2 defeat against Cologne. Unfortunately, the meeting was difficult, breaking Frankfurt’s unbeaten streak since December. Ekitike, who recently signed with the German club on loan with a mandatory option to buy from PSG, did not get many chances in his first minutes on the pitch, coming on as a substitute with fifteen minutes remaining.
