Donald Trump has called on Republicans in Congress to oppose the Ukraine deal
While US senators on Sunday agreed on a $118 billion bill providing aid specifically to Ukraine, former President Donald Trump on Monday called on Republicans in Congress to oppose it. “Only an idiot, or a radical left-wing Democrat, would vote for this horrible bill,” he warned.

Donald Trump on Monday called on Republicans in Congress to oppose an agreement to provide a $60 billion package for Kiev.
“Only an idiot, or a hard-left Democrat, would vote for this horrible bill,” he said on his network, Truth Social.
The American Senate unveiled a text on Sunday evening, the result of long months of negotiations, which provides for aid to Ukraine, $14 billion for Israel and reform of the American immigration system.
“We need a separate bill on the issue of migration, it should not be linked in any way to aid to a foreign country,” said the former president, a November presidential candidate.
To be adopted, the envelope must be approved in the Senate, then the House of Representatives. This is where things get complicated: its president, “Speaker” Mike Johnson, loyal to Donald Trump, declared on Sunday that as it is, everyone in his room votes on new funding for aid to Ukraine, as well as its strengthening. The border with Mexico was “still born.”
Without its support, the text cannot, for the moment, go anywhere.
