If, like me, you love Assassin’s Creed Origins (and why wouldn’t you?), there’s a fantastic free download currently available on Steam that you definitely need to check out.
You probably know Abubakar Salim best as Bayak, the protagonist of Assassin’s Creed Origins. But what you might not know is that it is releasing its first game this year. And if you didn’t know, you definitely didn’t know that there’s a free demo currently available for download on Steam.
Tales of Kenzera is a gorgeous-looking new Metroidvania, which Salim first showed off at last year’s Game Awards. The actor explained that the game is largely a tribute to his late father. “For a long time,” he said during an emotional appearance on stage at the Game Awards, “I struggled to find a way to communicate my journey with grief. Now, Zou is able to do that through a story of loss, growth and healing in Tales of Kanzera: Zou makes sense.” . »
The game is expected to be released in April, but you can already try the free demo. Oh, and if you like what you’re playing, you can pre-order it already and get 10% off, which isn’t bad at all.

Kenzera’s Tales indeed seems to be one of the best surprises of 2024. Between this and the excellent new Prince of Persia game, we’re totally spoiled for a brilliant new Metroidvania release. Hopefully this is the first of many new releases from Salim, because the man clearly knows his subject.
