Woman kills husband and daughters and takes her own life before being kicked out Enseconds Dominican Republic
The death of a Hispanic family of four, including two girls, inside their New Jersey home was a murder-suicide, the Union County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed.
Ruben Alarcon, 51, and Andrea Alarcon, 52, were found by members of the county’s sheriff’s department around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, along with their two young daughters.
Officers arrived at the scene to order the evacuation of the home on Lincrest Terrace, which was in foreclosure, and found the family dead.
Neighbors believe the girls were under 10 years old.
Each of them was shot, according to the Union County Prosecutor’s Office. A joint investigation by the prosecutor’s office and Union police determined that the mother, Andrea, shot her husband and two daughters before taking her own life.
When authorities arrived at the home, they found the gun used in the gruesome killing near the woman’s body, law enforcement officials said.
“In tragedies of this magnitude, there are no words that can heal, nor explanations that can serve to give people meaning. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of these victims and the entire Union community following this horrific incident,” said Union County Prosecutor William Daniel.
The home sold for $322,000 at a sheriff’s auction in November. The family living there must be out of the home and have 60 days to vacate or evict the property after the sale.
