Millions of Windows PCs can switch to ChromeOS Flex

Google thus recalls the existence of ChromeOS Flex, which is perfectly suited to give an old PC a second life. This lightweight operating system was launched in July 2022. It is cloud-based and can be downloaded for free. Especially unlike Windows 10, security updates will keep coming!

According to the Mountain View firm, Chrome OS Flex offers 19% lower power consumption than Windows. The latter also claims that it runs smoother on older machines than Microsoft’s operating system, thanks to its ultra-light design.
