This Pokemon Go player captures a Porygon that is as rare as it is useless

A Pokemon Go player was “disappointed” and somewhat surprised after successfully capturing the opposite of a shiny Porygon with perfect stats (Shundo).

While Pokemon Go certainly focuses on catching all the Pokemon and filling your Pokédex, there’s always a Shiny, or, a lot of Pokemon with perfect stats, known as a Shundo. Both are increasingly difficult to find, with many relying on Community Days to catch the powerful pocket Pokemon.

However, chances of getting a Shundo are rare, the chance to get a Nundo, a Pokemon with no stats, was just as unheard of. So, combine that with shiny and you get a very rare but extremely frustrating ShNundo like this player.

Sharing his unfortunate but impressive capture on Pokemon Go Reddit, one user attached an image of his ShNundo Porygon, asking the community: “What do you call a shiny with zero IV? I’ve heard of the Shundo, but never owned one and was a little disappointed to get one today”

Although the player seemed disappointed, others took to the comments to express their envy, with one saying that this “Shundos, and I think they are sometimes rarer than real shundos. Nice catch.”

Others echoed this statement, with one stating that it was a capture “1 in 102,400, I don’t know why you’re disappointed.” While it has not been confirmed, it is clear that many consider this to be a very impressive catch.

One player helpfully explained why this ShNundo is rare: “For those of you who are confused, the reason why nando is rarer than hundo is because you can only get nando from wild catches that are not weathered”That means you can only get these Pokemon through one medium instead of your normal game.

Regardless of the player’s frustration, the comments and support from the community must have given them a lot of comfort. Who would have thought that a writer would have such a rare but useless Pokemon on his hands?
