“This is a woman, the mother of four children, ages 2, 7, 10 and 14, respectively, who showed advanced symptoms of hypothermia after being in water for approximately seven hours before entering the United States at the Altitude Puente 1 border crossing,” the statement said. said.
An INM note based on the Ministry of Interior (Interior) indicated that agents of Grupo Beta – a unit of the organization specialized in providing guidance and assistance to migrants from the state of Coahuila – were conducting espionage work nearby. Rio Grande “and, in the distance, they could see movement under Bridge 1, so they approached the point.”
They explained that almost across the river, on the American side, there was a family that requested help and that the agents approached in an airboat.

After the rescue, the family was taken to the fire department ambulance which was responsible for checking their health and then shifted them to the hospital for medical treatment.
The INM suggested that Grupo Beta agents are strategically located in the states of Baja California, Sonora, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Tamaulipas, Veracruz, Tabasco, Chiapas, and Oaxaca, areas through which the largest number of migrants migrate in the country.
