Last Thursday the news spread like wildfire that Iván C. is famous for “The Catherine” and his partner Lisette C arrest San Salvador’s Libertad Park, a place where he has become a character, for engaging in strong fights.

Several videos circulating on social networks show the moment in which Lisette attacks her famous partner with blows. Jealousy and financial problems would have caused a strong public argument, which ended with the arrest of both dancers.

After watching videos of the fight and hearing the news of the arrest, users on social networks have expressed their views on the matter; Many people are asking that he be released, because he was attacked.

“The video clearly shows the woman assaulting the man. Why are they taking the man?”, “The man hasn’t lost his composure, the woman is aggressive, but it’s good that they’re giving orders in that place”, “They should let Catrie go free, because clearly she is. According to lawyer Carla Guevara, this case cannot be determined as a felony, but as a misdemeanor and therefore cannot cause a prison sentence.

“As a lawyer with basic knowledge of criminal law, I can tell you that these are not felonies, they are just misdemeanors and not punishable by jail time. But for the people, bread and circuses, as in the days of the Roman emperors.”

Guevara expressed through his X account.

It is worth remembering that this is not the first time that “El Catrine” and Lisette have had such problems. About eight months ago, he was arrested by agents of the National Civil Police after another fight.

It is also important to mention that for many years the two characters lived in a marital relationship where Lisette’s supposed jealousy would have been a daily occurrence. On multiple occasions they have announced their “final separation” to Char Pawan, but have since resumed their relationship and appeared in public again, very much in love. Will this new scandal spell the end of their relationship?
