The plot is buoyed by the same quality of action sequences we saw in the first part, with expertly orchestrated choreography.
The production design does a great job of taking us back in time and introducing the sweaty heroes fit for adventure. But it is the actors who do a sensational job of giving us a performance that suits us. The camaraderie that develops throughout the story between the characters played by Vincent Cassel, Romain Duris, Pio Marmai and François Civil as Musketeers and D’Artagnan is evident. Similarly, Eva Green takes a more prominent role. Her character takes center stage, showcasing her talent playing the role of manipulator and seductress. The femme fatale Milady.
