Israel’s Permanent Mission to International Organizations and the United Nations in Vienna. The release was intended to demonstrate Israel’s goodwill in delivering humanitarian aid.

We can read: “11,000 trucks, 140,000 tons of food, 17,000 tons of medical equipment, 23,000 tons of tents and shelter equipment. Israel will continue to facilitate the transfer of life-saving humanitarian aid to Gaza. Our war is against Hamas, not the people of Gaza. »

The video contains several clips showing pallets being unloaded from trucks, as well as a shot of the sky showing a camp made up of several colorful tents.

It’s titled: “Refugee camp with many shelters and places to stay, refugees from Ukraine”, and was published on March 21, 2022. A geographical indication indicates that it was filmed in Moldova.

Tuesday, The Israel’s official account Recognized that these images do not conform to the declared context. “Yesterday we learned that one of our videos on humanitarian aid to Gaza featured a photo of Moldova. The photo was for illustrative purposes and we should have clarified this in the video. In the future, we will do our best to ensure transparency in the visuals we publish. » The publication on the account of the State of Israel has also been deleted.
