As the mayor of Kansas City mentioned, the shooting during the Super Bowl parade has reignited the eternal debate about the proliferation of firearms in the United States.
The country has more personal firearms than residents: one in three adults owns at least one gun, and nearly one in two adults lives in a household with a gun.
The result of this proliferation is that the United States has a very high rate of firearm deaths, unsurpassed in comparison to other developed countries.
An hour after at least one person died and about fifteen were injured on the sidelines of a Super Bowl parade won by the Kansas City Chiefs, several elements of the investigation are becoming clear.
