From February 1, electricity bills will increase significantly, as Bruno Le Maire announced on January 21. The increase is 9.8% at peak/off-peak rates and 8.6% at a base rate of 8.6%. “Net Social Amount”

Appearing at the bottom of pay slips in July 2023 and on social benefit statements in January, the “net social amount” will be the new amount to be declared to CAF for active solidarity income (RSA) and social security beneficiaries. Applicants for these social benefits must use this new figure to make their January declaration.

A popular savings account

The rate of remuneration of the Popular Savings Booklet (LEP), which is intended for ordinary income, should be reduced. Fixed at 6% from August 1, 2023, the remuneration will be reduced to 5% from February 1. However, the LEP must earn €500 interest per year with a savings account at the maximum limit. Livret A and the Sustainable and Solidarity Development Booklet (LDDS) should keep the same remuneration of 3% for their part.

Basic retirement pension
