After his race, Cyprian Sarrazin reacted to Eurosport. “Today, really was a run. Besides the victory, really was a run, I took it from the bottom of my heart.”
The Frenchman felt he was performing brilliantly during his descent. “I felt the speed, I crossed the line, I turned my head quickly, I saw the green and the joy overflowed. In the run, like Bormio, I thought I had done something crazy.”
Author of a sensational performance today, the Frenchman scored a double in Kitzbühel! He won ahead of Marco Odermatt and Dominique Paris.
Top 5:
1. Cyprian Sarrazin (1.52.96)
2. Marco Odermatt (1.52.96 + 0.91)
3. Dominic Paris (1.52.96 + 1.44)
4. Stefan Babinski (1.52.96 + 1.69)
5. Maxense Muzaton (1.52.96 + 1.72)
A double is imminent for Cyprian Sarrazin with two wins in two relegations for the Kitzbühel side. Performances are rare as two do not land on the strafe every year but even when this is the case not everyone is able to achieve the double. The last one in 2021 is Bit Fuze (Switzerland). The last and only Frenchman to achieve this feat is called… Luc Alfand. The performance dates back to 1995 and so Cyprian Sarrazin can once again match the performance of his predecessor.
With his 25-year-old bib, the Frenchman landed very well and secured a provisional 5th (+1.72)
Even if the ranking does not change now, we will have to wait for the ranking of the 30th participant and the possible victory of Cyprian Sarrazin.
Looking for a double on the Kitzbühel descent no one seems to be able to worry about Cyprian Sarrazin anymore.
Provisional Ranking:
1- Cyprian Sarrazin, 1.52.96
2- Marco Odermatt, +0.91
3- Dominic Paris, +1.44
The Canadian missed completely and finished more than 2 seconds behind Cyprian Sarrazin.

Many big names have already passed and Cyprian Sarrazin has surpassed them all. We’ll see Bib 17, Cameron Alexander, in a moment. The Canadian should be the last to be able to worry Sarrazin in the event of a full descent.
Provisional Ranking:
1- Cyprian Sarrazin, 1.52.96
2- Marco Odermatt, +0.91
3- Dominic Paris, +1.44
A very nice round from Dominic Paris. Cyprian Sarrazin looks unattainable today but the Italian takes third place ahead of his compatriot Florian Schider (+1.44).
From the beginning of his descent, the Italian lost everything to compete with Cyprian Sarrazin. However, it is on the temporary podium (+2.13).
Beeb 10, second yesterday, will try to get back on the podium.
Cyprian Sarrazin’s descent is perfect, he makes no mistakes and is well ahead of the Swiss with a time of 1.52.96, nearly a second ahead (+0.91).
The Frenchman will have a lot to do to get the Swiss Marco Odermatt’s time.
As expected Marco Odermatt temporarily took the lead with a time of 1.53.87.
Ryan Cochran-Siegle, at age 6, took the lead with a time of just 1.55.18.
Three progeny are the main ones to watch out for. Cyprian Sarrazin won the first downhill in Kitzbühel yesterday ahead of Italian Florian Schieder and Swiss Marco Odermatt.
