After the rest of this announcement
The 2024 Moon Festival has begun in League of Legends. For this Year of the Dragon, Riot Games has offered us the first line of Skyscales warrior skins (available with patch 14.3). But the event still has surprises for us, and another theme to celebrate it properly will appear in Summoner’s Rift very soon.
So it’s the porcelain theme that will return with the next patch, 14.4. The family made their first appearance last year for the same event. For this occasion, 7 champions were selected.
If some are still upset to see Miss Fortune and Morgana getting so many skins, one consensus seems to be around the Arellian Soul which many consider magnificent. And that’s a small consolation, too, because Star Forger didn’t receive any cosmetics during the launch of the first line dedicated to the Moon Festival or New Chinese. The reason is simple: the year 2024 belongs to the Dragon, which means that Aurelian Soul was the perfect candidate.
Porcelain skins are also a part of this celebration, a relief for all lovers of the champion who will be duly appreciated for his year.
Irelia also wins a lot of upvotes, even though some think her face doesn’t really look like her.
These brand new cosmetics are now on the PBE and will come into play with patch 14.4, scheduled for Thursday, February 22, 2024 (and not exceptionally Wednesday) according to the official Riot Games calendar.
