Update
A match against England on the first day of the tournament left Italy disappointed (24-27), but provided encouraging ways for new Italian coach Gonzalo Quesada’s men to work. The track was swept away by Ireland on Sunday February 11, who left their opponents of the day no chance in a 36–0 win with six tries.
The last time the Squadra Azura did not score a single point in a match was against England in February 2022 (0-33).
