T-Pain has experienced a real emotional elevator in recent months. As revealed by this anecdote shared by Polygon on January 15, 2024, the rapper known for his use of Auto-Tune and his hit Bartender GTA 6 – whose first trailer gave everyone a thumbs up in December. That is good news. bad? He can no longer indulge in his one passion: playing on RP (roleplay) servers. GTA online.
In a clip shared exclusively on TikTok, we can see the rapper explaining why he can’t play anymore GTA online. It suggests: ” I was on a NoPixel server, I started working on this crap GTA 6 and they told me I couldn’t RP anymore because it was against them… They gave me this beautiful speech, ‘Imagine someone took your album has stolen and re-recorded it so people could hear it’. I get it, but I still had a great time!
»No RP servers GTA online are especially popular and populous. They allow fans to play a real role in a virtual universe (roleplay = role-playing game). But, for a long time, they were not officially recognized, thus against the rules established by Rockstar Games GTA online. This explains why T-Pain can’t do both GTA 6 and drives the growing popularity of multiplayer modes not managed by developers.
Yet Rockstar Games has reached out to the core artisans of the RP community. In a press release published on August 11, 2023, the studio announced a merger with the Cfx.re collective, which is in charge of the largest servers. The objective? Support PR activities by providing validation and tools to improve the experience. The ad also got T-Pain fired up. With humor, he sums up the paradox: “ Wait a minute? What is this b****? You tell me I can’t play anymore, then you team up with people who make RP? Okay, whatever. »
Of course, T-Pain has not revealed how he will participate GTA VI. Will it just be on the soundtrack? Will he lend his voice to the radio station? Will he appear in the casting with a character made in his likeness? Details are not known. But we understand why Rockstar Games approached him: Faheem Rashid Nazam, real name from Florida, inspires the atmosphere of the game.
