Putin confirms he has ‘no interest’ in invading Poland or Latvia

Similarly, the president defended his decision to invade Ukraine, saying that the West now realized that Russia was not going to lose, saying, “There has been clamor and clamor about giving Russia a strategic defeat on the battlefield, but now it is apparently happening. Understand that. It’s difficult to achieve, if it’s possible. In my opinion, it’s impossible by definition,” he said.

Putin said his country was ready to negotiate on Ukraine, but Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky “signed a decree banning anyone from negotiating with Russia (because) they follow instructions from the West.”

Putin also mentioned the possibility of a change in relations between Moscow and Washington after the US presidential election, saying, “Did you just ask me if another leader comes and something changes? ‘Can you imagine a scenario where you send Russian troops into Poland?’
When asked by an American journalist whether there was a possibility of Russia invading other countries in Europe, Putin refused to take Poland or Latvia.
The president said he would invade Poland “only in one case, if Poland attacks Russia.” We are not interested in Poland, Latvia or anywhere else. Why would we do that? “We’re just not interested.”
The Kremlin confirmed this Wednesday that the Russian president had agreed to speak to Tucker Carlson because his position was so far removed from that of other Anglo-Saxon journalists.
