Palworld devs plan to add new anti-cheat features

The developers of Palworld are well aware of the cheating issues surrounding the game and plan to introduce several features soon to combat it.

Since its Early Access launch on January 19, Palworld has managed to break impressive records in terms of player numbers and sales.

Although Pocketpair’s open-world survival game has received positive reviews on Steam, it’s no secret that cheaters have plagued the game since its release, ruining the experience for other players.

One player shared his experience saying that players on community servers often get their pals stolen, their palboxes destroyed and sent to the skies among other things.

Fortunately, Pocketpair has released a statement regarding cheaters on public servers. On their Steam page, the developers admitted to being aware of “cheating activities” that prevent players from enjoying the game properly.

He said: “As a company, we do not tolerate any fraudulent activity or fraud, and we are working to deal with it strictly and on a priority basis.“

As a result, they plan to launch some features to help combat this. The first is a player list feature that will be added in late February. Although unclear, this appears to be a list of players with the option to report others.

In addition to player list functionality, “External anti-cheat solution” will also be introduced and made mandatory on official servers. For solo, cooperative and community servers, an anti-cheat solution will be optional.
