What does 2024 have in store for Nicole Kidman? This Tuesday, January 9, the 56-year-old Australian-American actress was photographed on the set of her new film “Babygirl”, directed by Halina Raine.
Marketed as an erotic thriller, the feature film focuses on the power dynamics and sexuality in business with the story of a powerful businesswoman who has an adulterous relationship with her young intern… and it’s Harris Dickinson, already known for her role. “Unfiltered” by Ruben Östlund which was chosen to star opposite Nicole Kidman.
A Frenchman in casting
According to the first information circulated in the press, Antonio Banderas will play the role of the husband of this complex character. Jean Reno will play a rival businessman and Sophie Wilde, a supporting witness to the adultery.
Nicole Kidman is not her first film of this genre. We naturally think of “Eyes Wide Shut” by Stanley Kubrick – in which she starred with her ex-husband Tom Cruise – or “Stalker” by Park Chan-wook.
The first images were revealed in mid-December, when Nicole Kidman and Harris Dickinson were filming a scene in Manhattan. The release date is apparently not announced as the shooting of the film has just started but it is possible that the film will hit the screens by the end of 2024 or even 2025.
