A little less than a year after its release, Minecraft Legends is on its way out and will slowly join the list of Xbox games that will no longer be updated. Mojang announced the news and will be able to focus on its upcoming games.
The Lost Legend Finale: Snow vs. One last update with Snouts
Released in April 2023, Minecraft Legends will therefore benefit from seven months of content as the last major update in November will be the last to provide significant content. It has added new features especially Witch, Cauldron, Frog, “Clanger”, “Air Chopper” and many others to spice up the clash in the overworld.
But now, the Minecraft Legends adventure ends in 2024 and is called the final update The Final Lost Legend: Snow Vs. Snots
In which you use the upgraded red rock thrower in the winter world. The developers say Snow vs Snots brings a whole new style of combat to the game, where you focus on destroying Pigline bases from afar using an upgraded version of the powerful red stone thrower. Compared to its base game counterpart, the launcher you wield in this Lost Legend has a faster cooldown and (de)build rate for greater mobility and greater attack power. Plus, it has a knockdown effect that makes explosive piglins really, really satisfying.
Do you think it is easy? The catch is that in this Lost Legend, you can’t control mobs or build other structures. You only have the red stone thrower to defeat the Piglin. So make sure you master your ranged attack skills before taking on this challenge! If you succeed, you’ll receive the Snow Guardian skin, which will allow you to clear the frozen landscape of pigsties and their machines.
Minecraft Legends is over!
So Snow vs Snouts is the last lost legend for Minecraft Legends and as a farewell to end with new content, the developers are offering you to download hero skins from the market now for free.
From now on, the game will apparently be accessible to everyone, but no more content will be offered after its support ends. Mojang explains that it wants to take a step back from development.
While we won’t be releasing new content (ie updates, Lost Legends or DLC) for Minecraft Legends, the fun doesn’t stop there. We’ll continue to enjoy the game with our community, as these mischievous piglins show no signs of slowing down.
Thank you for following this heroic journey and helping make Minecraft Legends the game it is today. With the support of our team, our partners, and the Minecraft community, we’ll continue to explore the kinds of games we’re passionate about and bring new experiences to the Minecraft universe. Together, we unified the overworld, made some amazing friends, and most importantly, showed the pigs that they were often in the wrong dimension. Keep your banners up, because the overworld will always need heroes!
Mojang had already ended support for Minecraft Dungeons last September, so the studio really decided to move on. No details have been shared on the content of these new projects, but we do know that Mojang is at work. In May 2020, the studio unveiled a new logo and simultaneously announced two new games in development.
Minecraft Legends is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC. It is also included in Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
