Kanzi, the bonobo monkey, defeats the final boss in Minecraft!

This extraordinary achievement was made possible by several months of intensive training, during which Learned to communicate with kanji play using commands appropriate to its capabilities.

Released 2 weeks ago, the experiment, led by American YouTuber ChrisDaCow in partnership with the Ape Initiative, began in July with the release of the first video, showing Kanzi’s first steps in the game. Besides the fun aspects, the experience highlights the impressive cognitive abilities of bonobos and their ability to adapt to complex digital environments. This is not the first time that animals have been included in video games. Recently, the UA dog named Peanut Butter Completed a game of the 1985 video game Guyomite for the NES, during a charity speedrunning marathon.
