Jordan Binnington still tries to convince Justin Bieber to date him

It’s not with his stats that Jordan Binnington will convince people to vote for him for the National Hockey League All-Star Game, but his proposal to Justin Bieber may be more appealing to fans.

Another time, the St. Louis Blues goalie invited the singer to face him in a shootout. In 2020, he offered himself gold if the pop star managed to outsmart him.

Bieber accepted the offer and responded to Binnington by offering to give a $10,000 check to an organization of his choice if he succeeded in scoring. However, this duel never materialized.

In the All-Star Game that same year, San Jose Sharks forward Tomas Hertl made people laugh by running against Bennington wearing a Bieber mask. He had the last word.

“It’s been a few years, so I told myself I’ve got to try my luck,” the man who restarted the challenge on social media told NHL.com on Wednesday. It would be nice to be an All-Star, but it’s tough with voting. So, I give myself every opportunity. I’ll run this and see what happens.”

“I give people a bone to see if anything can happen,” Binnington added.

Better luck next time?

The All-Star Game which will take place from 1er February 3 in Toronto will be extra special for Cerberus, as it is originally from Richmond Hill, north of the Queen City. Bieber, from London, is a big fan of the Maple Leafs.

Four goalkeepers are yet to be chosen by the public, with voting closing at midnight on Thursday evening. In statistics released Tuesday by the National League, Binnington was not among the eight most popular masked men among fans.

Whether or not the 30-year-old’s duel with Bieber ends up in the All-Star Game, blues forward Jake Neighbors doesn’t think the Ontario singer-songwriter really stands a chance.

“I don’t think he will score. I’ll give it 20 tries. Actually, I really don’t know. I never saw him play,” he admitted to NHL.com.

“I believe he will give 100%, “Binner”. If Bieber scores against him, he will be impressive, that’s for sure. “Binner” is relentless. I have a hard time beating him.”

After a good start to the campaign, Binnington returned more modest numbers. He has a 13-11-1 record, a 3.05 goals-against average and a .905 save percentage.
