Bedtime is personal. But from a scientific point of view, it is necessary to follow some rules for restful sleep.
We know very well that we should sleep for a long time. Instead, we prefer to think about extra episodes of series or our lives in the middle of the night. Is it bad for your health? From a scientific point of view, there is no right or wrong time to sleep. Bedtime is individual and depends on various factors.
1. Give yourself seven hours of sleep. This is the average amount of sleep required for humans. We adapt our sleep time to achieve our ideal sleep time, because the more we deviate from this ideal period, the more health risks increase. If we sleep significantly more on weekends than during the week, the average sleep duration is probably insufficient.
2. Get into the habit of going to bed at a set time. You need to establish a routine and control your biological clock, which significantly strengthens the metabolism, mind and cardiovascular system. The body clock can change over time. In fact, the need for sleep decreases with age.
3. Consider your chronotype. Considering yourself an early riser or a late riser helps determine your ideal bedtime. This allows you to respect the sleep schedule and be in perfect shape the next day.
