Parisian ultras also chanted “Hidalgo resign” and insulted her on several occasions, with the stadium announcer forced to speak out after homophobic chants before the match for the first time.

On Thursday, PSG president Nasser El-Khelaifi said he wanted to leave the stadium after Paris Town Hall refused to sell him the venue. The Parisian club, Town Hall, holds a 30-year long lease with the owner until the end of 2043, deeming the acquisition of the stadium essential to carry out its expansion project to 60,000 seats, compared to around 48,000 at present. The situation is becoming tense due to continuous blockage of files for months.
