Companion series to Band of Brothers And PacificTom Hanks and Steven Spielberg are back with their latest war epic: Masters of the Air.
While his previous award-winning collaborations depicted World War II through the eyes of the United States Parachute Infantry in Europe and Marine divisions in the Asia-Pacific, the latest chapter follows US airmen in the 100th Bombardment Group.
A decade in the making, the miniseries is finally taking off with a starry cast that includes Austin Butler and Barry Keoghan.
Based on the 2007 book of the same name by Donald L. Miller, it brings to life the stories of the brave airmen who served during the conflict. The bomb group was nicknamed the “Bloody Hundred” because of their harrowing experience of war and heavy losses during missions.

The new War miniseries is set to hit our screens on Friday, January 26, with the first two episodes coming on this first date (happy binging).
How to watch ‘Masters of the Air’ in the UK
Masters of the Air Available to watch exclusively on Apple TV+. From executive producers Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg and Gary Goetzman, the nine-part miniseries has been adapted for the screen by writer John Orloff.
As with most Apple TV shows, the first two episodes will be released on the first date, with the rest of the series then airing weekly until March 15. While Apple TV+ costs £8.99 per month, new viewers can try Apple TV+ free for seven days.
Who is in the ‘Masters of the Air’ cast?
The war drama includes an impressive roster of actors ElvisAustin Butler, saltburn’S Barry Keoghan, The Boys in the BoatCallum Turner of and Doctor Who’s Ncuti Gatwa. Anthony Boyle, Bel Powley, Raf Law, Lorraine McQueen and Isabel Mayo are also included in the large ensemble cast.
