Roberts recalled a fun trivia about her character’s outfit in the classic 1990 rom-com to British Vogue while describing her ‘life in looks’.

Julia Roberts is revealing some surprising details about one of her most iconic looks beautiful woman To British Vogue.
Roberts sat down for the magazine’s “Life in Looks” video segment on Thursday and recalled how her character Vivian Ward was dating before meeting Richard Gere’s character Edward Lewis.
Vivian plays a sex worker in the film, and often wears a blue and white dress which she sometimes covers with a red jacket tied around her waist. But as Roberts recalls, the extra was less his character’s work and more his own insecurities at the time.
“I thought I had a big butt, and that’s why I wore it like a jacket in the movie,” Roberts, 56, admitted.

Roberts also recalled other details about the costume, which are by far the most memorable in the film. (Even her niece Emma Roberts paid tribute to her in a Halloween costume!)
“The funny thing about this dress is, I think it was about $20,” she continued. “It was black and white, I think, and the costume designer changed it to make it stand out a little bit.”
This Erin Brockovich The star also remembers differently about the footwear. “The boots were really uncomfortable,” she said of the thigh-high black leather boots with thin high heels.

There are a few things about the outfit’s accessories that she can’t explain, though.
“Why I have a plastic chicken leg as my assistant, I don’t know,” she says at a point of character-layered defeat.

“I remember her being very careful about how I felt in clothes, because I’m not really comfortable wearing such revealing things, and she was very attentive and respectful of that,” Roberts recalls.

“I think he died peacefully of a heart attack in his sleep, smiling,” she told host Gale King Edward of his fate.
“And now he runs his business,” Roberts added Vivian’s.
