Do you want to escape and have a few million dollars to spend? Actors Emma Stone and Alec Baldwin have both just put “exceptional properties” on the market. You’ll be tempted by a little tour of the owner…
Who has never perused the ads of real estate agencies on a Sunday evening in search of a mansion with 33 bathrooms, three swimming pools, a cinema and a tennis court? we will
And though we’re vaguely depressed from our quest, our heads full of logistical and existential questions (how long would it take you to test all the toilets, Italian showers, and bathtubs in your own home?), deep down, you want more. In fact, two well-known Hollywood celebrities are selling their beautiful homes for $4 and $25 million, respectively. Choose your side!
Let’s start with Oscar-winning actress Emma Stone, who is looking for a new resident for her home in the Westwood neighborhood of Los Angeles. An adorable little house from 1926, completely renovated and with “reasonable” proportions (meaning: 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms), whose style reflects the image of its current owner (“bright and shiny”, according to Page Six
).Built in 1926, the Spanish-style residence was recently renovated.
At first glance, it looks like a garden shed, but so be it.
Oh, but what a charming entrance!
Apparently, Emma Stone loves green. This living room “captures the colorful and refreshing essence of home” (still, we’re not making this up, according to the advertiser).
Green, green and more green.
The kitchen, “spacious and bathed in natural light”, thanks to the double-height vaulted ceiling.
Big enough for a six-person dining table.
A small seating area that opens onto a “charming patio”.
The room, all in all quite modest.
One of the home’s bathrooms, which “echoes the energy of the living room” with pale green wallpaper, a “curved” built-in shelf and a “clawfoot tub.”
The child’s room, Louis Jean, which Emma Stone shares with comedian and writer Dave McCarey.
the edge of the garden.
And, the main thing… the laundry room!!!!
Believe The Wall Street Journal, Emma Stone stayed at his house whenever she visited Los Angeles. If the story doesn’t say why she chose to part ways with him, we do know that she sold another home in Malibu last year for $4.4 million. According to Page SixHe still owns residences in Austin, Texas and New York.
Do you prefer East Coast and Atlantic lobster? you go love Alec Baldwin’s house. A luxurious 5 bedroom estate located at 335 Town Lane, Amagansett, Hampton.
And who better to sell its quality than its owner? So the actor played the role of promoter in a short video clip aired on YouTube, where he is seen wandering the nearby beach and exploring the sprawling 4 hectares of land to see his “absolutely breathtaking” estate, its “vast open sky” and “vast open sky”. “Light Sea Breezes”.
“I fell in love with the place as soon as I got here,” he declares. He still has to explain to us why he doesn’t want it anymore. Insulation problems, perhaps? Termites?
Let’s take a closer look…
The property was originally listed last year for $29 million.
The house, seen from behind.
Swimming pool and jacuzzi, absolutely necessary.
The ‘beautifully appointed’ home includes a spacious kitchen with dining area.
Lounge area.
And then, as if we can never have enough sofas…
The house was built in the early 18th century.
One of five bedrooms.
The actor acquired the estate in 1995 for just $1.7 million and has seen significant expansion over the years. So much so that in September 2022, Alec Baldwin first tried to sell it for $29 million, only to withdraw it from the market a year later for lack of a buyer. Aware of the “changing dynamics of the market,” the actor-turned-real estate agent made strategic adjustments: The house is now for sale at $19 million.
For this amount, count on “a cinema room, a wine tasting room and a private wood-paneled library”. So, sure? (mbr)
