Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce: The actor wins his first legal victory

The legal battle continues. In 2016, the legendary couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie announced their divorce after more than twelve years of love. Since then, both ex-spouses have been arguing on many issues. Among them, his estate, Chateau de Miraval, is located in Var. A wine estate purchased by the two stars, to which they said “yes” in 2014. At the time, Brad Pitt owned 60% of the shares and Angelina Jolie owned 40%. Once the divorce was settled, Angelina Jolie decided to sell her shares to Yuri Scheffler, the head of a Russian vodka company. A sale that Brad Pitt did not approve of, who quickly claimed the 10% offered to his ex-wife due to a “failed deal,” according to “Page Six.” In response, the vodka brand sued the actor for “management errors”. This Monday, February 5, according to information published by “Nice-Matin”, the Nîmes Court of Appeal finally ruled in favor of Brad Pitt and “cancelled the proceedings aimed at questioning the management and governance of the estate”.

A legal victory for Brad Pitt

This Friday, February 2, Brad Pitt scored another win. The Luxembourg court granted the actor 10% of the shares, temporarily restoring “his status as majority shareholder in the front company controlling Chateau Miraval SA”.

In a few weeks, a new decision will be rendered. For his part, Brad Pitt is not giving up and continues his legal battle. He took legal action in the United States and Luxembourg to obtain “the annulment of the sale to Yuri by Angelina Jolie”.
