Hello Pop Culture and Gaming Enthusiasts! Good news for PlayStation Plus subscribers: Free games for February 2024 are now available with Foamstars, Rollerdrome and Steelrising. However, much to the chagrin of trophy hunters, as Foamstars does not have a platinum trophy, while Rollerdrome and Steelrizing offer one. On top of that, the Tomb Raider 1-2-3 Remastered games on PS5 also don’t have Platinum trophies, which has upset many fans. The reason for this omission remains unclear.

The first Tuesday of every month is a day of celebration for PlayStation Plus subscribers, as this is the day they can get new free additions to their library. From now on, PlayStation Plus subscribers can download Foamstars, Rollerdrome and Steelrising. Foamstars and Rollerdrome are natively available on PS4 and PS5, while Steelrising is only available on PS5. The three free PS Plus games will be available until March 4, at which point the March 2024 games will take their place.

Since relaunching the subscription service in June 2022, Sony has added countless games to PS Plus every month. Usually, new PlayStation games are an opportunity for trophy hunters, but unfortunately Foamstars doesn’t offer one. While Rollerdrome and Steelrising have it, Foamstars doesn’t, for reasons that are unclear at the moment. In fact, Foamstars only has 12 trophies in total, which may disappoint some trophy hunters eager to play Square Enix’s new multiplayer-focused game. At least the Rollerdrome and Steelrizing Platinum offers to collect trophies.

Foamstars isn’t the only February 2024 PS5 game missing a platinum trophy. It was recently confirmed that Tomb Raider 1-2-3 Remastered will not be on PS5, although the PS4 version of the game will have three to collect. This disparity is apparently due to Sony’s policies regarding the Platinum Trophy, but it seems to upset fans. There doesn’t really seem to be a good reason to drop the platinum trophy from these games, so hopefully this issue will be resolved soon.

Either way, there should be plenty of trophies for PS Plus subscribers to unlock this month, especially if they’re signed up for the extra or premium tiers of the service. PS Plus Extra and Premium games for February 2024 have not yet been announced, but should be in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more information!
