At least six injured in Kiev and controversial meeting with Putin

A Russian missile attack in Ukraine killed one person in Mykolaiv (south) on Wednesday and injured at least six people in Kyiv. Russia launched a cruise missile attack on Ukraine around 4 a.m., targeting Kiev and other areas, the air force said. The end of the attack was reported just before 7 am.

Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevich said one person died of serious injuries after the attack that tore roofs off 20 houses and damaged gas and water pipes in the port city.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced that six people were injured in the capital. The fire broke out in an 18-story residential building in the city’s south where three people were hospitalized, he said.
