An update that will make fans go crazy with joy!

3 New Unmissable Video Game Releases This Week – February 2024!

Red Dead Redemption is one of Rockstar Games’ biggest franchises and fans are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the next installment in the series, but you have to be very patient.

The Red Dead Redemption series debuted in 2010 on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Well, that doesn’t count 2004’s linear but entertaining Red Dead Revolver for PS2 and the original Xbox. Fans will have to watch out for the third installment in the series, as no release date has been announced by Rockstar Games. That said, it’s fair to assume that it won’t be released until GTA VI, which is slated for release in 2025.

However, Rockstar Games has at least confirmed the inevitable, that we will get Red Dead Redemption 3 at some point. But the question is when will it happen and what story will it tell? It looks like John Marston actor Rob Witthoff, the 2010 protagonist and recurring character in 2018, may have the answer.

In an interview with YouTube channel Sackchief, a clip was shared on Reddit in which Rob Wiethoff talked about his expectations for Red Dead Redemption 3. Wiethoff explained that for a sequel to work, it could be another prequel like Red Dead Redemption 2.
The original game is set in 1911, and its sequel is set in 1899. If Red Dead Redemption 3 takes place after 1911, it will lose much of its Wild West identity. In theory the next game should therefore take place before 1899.

Witthoff also explained that he wanted to know more about the infamous Blackwater heist, a plot element that was only hinted at as legend during Red Dead Redemption and its (pre)sequel. Exploring this legend will definitely be a welcome story for fans. Only time will tell if Red Dead Redemption 3 will recreate the events of Black Water.

It’s possible that Red Dead Redemption 3 will be available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, but it could also be a next-gen title.
