Culture News After his hit in Super Mario Bros. this particularly wacky star returns in the Minecraft movie. Another video game adaptation in good hands…
When the movie Super Mario Bros. Released in theaters a few months ago, the actor is once again involved in a video game adaptation on the big screen.
When we think of the year 2023 which was rich with cinema, feature films like Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer and Barbie with Margot Robbie often come up. The two films released on the exact same day and marked the summer by garnering praise from audiences worldwide and the exclusive press. However, in terms of cinema, the year is not limited to these two films. In terms of adapting video games to the big screen, the animated feature film Super Mario Bros. Raised the bar too high. In a colorful adventure featuring the famous plumber in a red cap, fans around the world were delighted to see how Nintendo was involved in the challenge.
Thanks to projects like this, it’s very likely that many other ambitious adaptations will see the light of day. Still on the Nintendo side, a live action Zelda feature film is planned, though we don’t have much information. However, the Japanese video game company is not the only one that has decided to embark on a cinematographic venture. A Minecraft movie was announced in 2019, and while no one had heard of it, it’s finally starting to come to light. For the moment, one actor has been made official in the casting and that is Jack Black. This is the same actor who voices Bower in the animated film Super Mario Bros.
